Ego, instintcs and desires

What Definition Can Be Given to the Ego?

The ego is a state of mind within you—humans, Earth-beings. It is a state of fact. It is within you. It is intrinsic to your being, to your incarnation. It is part of what you are—intrinsically and fundamentally. It is connected to your very structure; it is part of who you are.

The ego can be defined as a structural condition that acts as a barrier to your true self, preventing you from accessing your divinity. Thus, you must work on your ego in order to rediscover your true essence—your divine essence, which is the very principle of your Life on Earth and the core of your incarnation.

This ego is like a sheet of paper placed in front of a screen, blocking your view of who you truly are. But this ego can be broken, and it can give you access to your true self.

It exists because it is tied to matter. On Earth, matter is very dense, and you carry a density that can be called ego—a part of incarnation that corresponds to terrestrial density.

So, the ego is, in a way, all the desires you must work through.

In this sense, it is the residue of what must be transformed.

Does Working on Our Ego Mean Working on Suffering?

The ego consists of the human senses that you possess on Earth and with which you came to incarnate. Therefore, it is essential to fundamentally distinguish what belongs to the ego in its very substance from what you call suffering, as these are different concepts.

Suffering is the concrete application of sensory perception upon matter. It is not the same as the ego, which is dominated by the senses. Suffering is a translation of that sensory dominance into the material world.

Thus, there is a certain distance to be maintained between these two terms. It is indeed necessary to work on the perception of your senses, which are flawed in your interpretation. This flawed perception manifests as suffering at certain times and as happiness at others—neither of which is truly justified.

These are merely variations, perceptions of your senses, which are inherently distorted by nature—because they are dense and limited by your ego, which was given to you at the moment of your incarnation on Earth.

That is our distinction.

What Is the Greatest Challenge in Applying Divine Laws?

The human being is a sensitive creature, constantly prey to emotions. This is what weakens their organs—through a psyche fractured by the ego. The ego is the number one obstacle in the implementation of divine laws, in the path toward becoming a better being. It is the ego that forms the first barrier, a major blockage in spiritual evolution.

The human is subject to intense emotions that destabilize all their bodies, making it difficult to reconnect with who they truly are. They are overwhelmed by an ego of great power. They must therefore master it in order to become the being they truly are—a being of goodness, compassion, and ultimate Love for their brothers and sisters, and also for themselves. For above all, they must embody that Love which sows with absolute purity, in order to be aligned with themselves and to love their neighbor as they should—as required by the application of divine laws.

Working on the ego is the most difficult challenge one faces—a battle with oneself. It is the full symbolism of Archangel Michael fighting the dragon, which represents one’s own inner self. But he overcomes it through patience and courage. With his sword, he pierces the heart to release the immeasurable Love that lies within.

This is what every being is confronted with: their own fears, doubts, and emotions that weaken them in the face of who they truly are. It is an internal battle, a perpetual struggle with oneself. One must face oneself, gather oneself, and dwell in silence—not in the agitation of modern life, which is merely a consequence of fear and the inability to know who one truly is. This can only be discovered by turning inward, by retreating into the solitude of one’s being.

It is a battle that Archangel Michael has won, and that each person can win—provided they understand its meaning, are willing to face themselves, and overcome their fears, illusions, and the materialism of the world in which they are currently immersed. A world that races blindly toward self-destruction.

This is what we seek to prevent—your self-destruction. For if you do not awaken your being and your sensitivity, if you do not turn toward Love for others and for yourself, you are heading toward grave danger.

We are here to prevent this, to help you work through it. You must listen to the beings of Light sent to Earth to carry out this difficult mission. They are growing in number, because the world is approaching a cataclysm if awakening does not occur on a larger scale than it has so far.

You must promote within yourselves a radical awakening of your own consciousness.

If Ego Is the First Obstacle to Applying Divine Laws on Earth, What Are the Others?

You must understand that ego alone is not the only factor at play in the application of divine laws on your Earth. There are other obstacles that are equally significant and that form blockages for you. These other obstacles are part of matter—they are your desires.

Yes, you may say that desires are part of the ego, and it’s true that they share the same essence. However, desires are extremely powerful within you. They are the desires to possess—in the broadest sense, even to possess another person.

To possess one’s being, to possess everything one can, brings reassurance. It gives a sense of greatness, it stimulates the quest for possession. And in this pursuit, one destroys everything around them to possess more. But this is a misguided quest, a quest without end, without purpose, without direction—except the destruction of one’s destiny.

It is a complete error, driven by the domination of power that grows ever stronger, endlessly. There is no end to the desire to possess and to satisfy material cravings.

So yes, ego is part of this—but the desire to possess is pure matter, the full manifestation of materiality in all its splendor.

What is the difference between ego and desire? It’s a subtle distinction, because you tend to group everything under the term “ego.” But you must know that ego pertains to the mind. Ego is emotion; desire is possession.

There is a nuance here: emotions and material possession can be differentiated by these terms to help you better understand what the obstacles truly are. We distinguish these terms because we associate ego with immaterial aspects, while we define desire as material—what you seek to possess in your physical world.

Thus, possessiveness—of things, people, beings—is a major obstacle for you, in addition to the disruptive emotions that these desires generate.

Understanding Ego, Desire, and Perception

Indeed, it is not easy to use words to define the intangible, the invisible. Ego is your senses—your perceptions. They are like parasites with which you work on Earth.

Ego is what analyzes your perceptions, decoding them according to specific criteria that are dense and limited by your physical organs: sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell.

Know that ego limits your perceptions to a narrow analysis of what Truth truly is. Ego is your senses—it is the decoding of your senses. It translates what you perceive into words.

Desire, as we’ve said, is not quite the same. When desire is transformed into materiality, it becomes possession—to have, to own. Desire itself is also part of ego, as it is the translation of a perception.

But once desire enters the material realm, it becomes possession. So there is a small distinction to be made in the material translation of this feeling called desire.

Ego, on the other hand, is the limited perception of your senses, filtered through ego’s analysis—like a sheet of paper that prevents you from accessing, feeling, and vibrating with your divine self.

That is ego.

And this sheet of paper—you cannot make it disappear, for it is part of your structure in the material world. But you must tame it and master it.

That is our definition of ego. It’s not simple to express in your words, but it is tied to your senses. So know that your senses are far more expansive than what ego allows you to believe. Your range is far more unlimited than you think—when viewed beyond the prism of ego.

What Is the Difference Between Instinct and Ego?

These are indeed similar notions for us, but they hold different meanings for you on Earth, because your planet is not inhabited by the same kinds of beings.

These are words you use, with different connotations, because they apply to different beings on your Earth. Ego belongs to you—human beings—while instinct resides in other species of your planet.

We make a more subtle distinction on Earth than we do in our space. You tend to think that animals do not think, and therefore that ego belongs only to you, as supposedly superior beings with a mind that defines you.

But it’s more complex than that.

The animals you refer to are actually endowed with capacities far greater than you can imagine. It’s true—they are not governed by ego. They possess depth of thought and reflection that is purer than yours.

So instinct is a strange word for us. In reality, they are not governed by your ego, which is a lower vibration—and this is what prevents you from functioning harmoniously among yourselves and with other species on Earth.

These animals, as you call them, do not carry this negative vibration of ego. On the contrary, what you call instinct is not truly instinct—it is within them. It is not spontaneous—it is their vibration, which is closer to us than your ego is.

Do you understand?
